The Department for Work and Pensions has published an updated Work Programme prospectus setting out details of the Government's new welfare to work scheme.

BASE is organising an event for contractors who have been selected for DWP's employment-related support services framework. The event takes place in London on 7 December and aims to raise awareness of the value of contracting with providers of specialist support services.

Some of the largest and most experienced disability support organisations have joined forces to form a not-for-profit special purpose vehicle.

DWP has launched a Merlin website. The website allows organisations wishing to attain the Merlin Standard to find out more about the criteria requirements, and how to submit an application.

DWP has announced its preferred suppliers for the employment-related support services framework, the commercial vehicle through which the Work Programme will be delivered.

Professor Harrington's review of the work capability assessment (WCA) has been published. Professor Harrington was asked to review the fairness and effectiveness of the WCA following concerns expressed by a number of organisations.

The Department of Health has produced guidance on accessible information.

Maria Miller, in a written answer on 10 September, has stated that equality impact assessments are being developed for both Work Choice implementation and Access to Work and will appear on the DWP website in due course.
