The Supported Internship Quality Framework has been published. It was developed for the Department for Education by the Education and Training Foundation and their centres of excellence. The framework has been developed over the last 6 months and aims to improve the quality of Supported Internships (SIs) provision and outcomes. BASE has fed into discussions and we have asked for a review of the framework in 12 months.

DWP has issued an invitation to tender for an Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) Accreditation Pilot. The Invitation to Tender (ITT 21630) is available to view on the Bravo Solution website and closes on 20 September.

The new National Occupational Standards for Supported Employment are now available to download.

The standards cover the whole of the United Kingdom and were developed by LSIS, the Learning and Skills Improvement Service (LSIS). BASE was closely involved with their development. The National Occupational Standards (NOS) provide the statements of skills and knowledge needed by the supported employment workforce.
