Royal Strathclyde Blindcraft Industries (RSBi)

Royal Strathclyde Blindcraft Industries (RSBi) is a supported employment facility that manufactures a wide range of products including kitchens, office and educational furniture, beds, soft furnishings, timber building kits and metal products, as well as offering a complete furnished accommodation and storage solution service to Glasgow City Council (GCC) and the Glasgow Housing Association (GHA). 

RSBi is wholly owned by Glasgow City Council and is part of the newly formed City Building (Glasgow) LLP, (Limited Liability Partnership) which evolved from the former Building Services Department of Glasgow City Council.  City Building (Glasgow) LLP operates as an autonomous company with its own Board and Managing Director, delivering quality construction services across both public and private sectors. 

RSBi operates from a 120,000 sq.ft. state of the art purpose built manufacturing facility in Glasgow, and is one of the largest supported employment facilities in Europe for people with disabilities.  

The facility is well equipped with the latest automated machinery combined with a highly skilled flexible workforce operating to BS EN ISO 9001 quality assurance management system and BS EN ISO 18001 Health and Safety management system.

RSBI is also supported by an extensive distribution centre housed at City Building’s headquarters in Glasgow.
