Procurement

The Supported Business Directory is designed as an aid to Procurement Officers looking to source products under the Article 19 European regulations. We hope that you will find the Directory an invaluable tool in helping your organisation source products from quality suppliers whose purpose is to provide sustainable employment to people with a disability.

Scotland announces new procurement frameworks

Nicola Sturgeon, the Deputy First Minister and Cabinet Secretary for Infrastructure, Investment and Cities has announced a new national framework contract that will make it easier for Scottish public bodies to buy from supported businesses. The framework covers furniture, document management, textiles and signage and has an estimated value is £5m - £20m over the maximum possible framework period of 4 years.

Finding contract opportunities

Contracts Finder is a free service from businesslink.gov.uk. You can use it to search for procurement opportunities with government, including lower-value contracts worth £10,000 and above.

BASE has worked closely with the Procurement Policy Team at the Scottish Government to put in place a Reserved Framework with Supported Businesses. Public Contracts Scotland (PCS) is the portal for procurement in Scotland.
