The course is designed to allow participants to:
• Improve knowledge and understanding of disability legislation
• Improve understanding areas of discrimination
• Request reasonable adjustments
• Understand the work of the Equality and Human Rights Commission
• Improve their knowledge Employment Rights and the Law and
• Advocate on behalf of disabled workers
This course is suitable for:
• Employment Support Officers who are arranging work tasters, work experience places, securing and maintaining paid employment offering practical support, advice and guidance to people with disabilities and employers
• Service managers and Team Leaders who wish to gain better understanding into disability legislation, employment rights and law
