Cumbria establishing framework agreement to deliver employment services

Cumbria County Council Adult Social Care is seeking to establish a Framework Agreement for the provision of all day services including rehabilitation and moving into employment services for all adults across the whole of Cumbria.

It is likely that the Framework Agreement will consist of six Lots based on geographical zones or districts, each geographical lot to encompass the full range of day services – further detail of the structure of Lots within the Framework, including options and pricing will be provided at the Invitation To Tender (ITT) stage.

The Framework will use Direct Call Off for the purchase of all services. Providers should note therefore that being appointed onto the Framework Agreement does not guarantee a defined level of business.

Where the Council is purchasing day services on behalf of service users the Council will use the providers appointed to this Framework. However, providers shall also be aware that the Council reserves the right throughout the contract period to procure services outside of the Framework and enter into contracts for such services with any organisation not appointed to the Framework where, in the Council’s entire discretion, the Council considers this to be more appropriate.

The closing date for completed submissions is 9 December 2011.
