BASE appoints Fred Bowen as Training and Development Officer

BASE is pleased to announce the appointment of Fred Bowen as our Training and Development Officer. Fred starts work with BASE in the New Year and his appointment reflects the priority given to professional development and improved quality standards. One of his first tasks will be to identify member training needs through a member survey.

Fred will be well known to many members as he has presented at a number of BASE and EUSE conferences. He previously worked at Bury EST where he led on employer engagement. His background is as a self employed businessman and he has substantial experience of supported employment from an employer perspective. Fred has a keen interest in education and was Chair of Governors at Bury College for the last 8 years.
