Report During November and December 2009, the Learning and Skills Council (LSC), now SFA/YPLA, hosted three regional conferences on the theme of enterprise and employment for people with learning difficulties and/or disabilities. The aim of the conferences was to reflect on the policy landscape and consider the impact that this was having, and likely to have, on future provision.
This report starts with an outline of the policy context in which the conferences took place. This is followed by an overview of the key points from the employers’ keynote speeches. Emerging themes from discussions in the workshops and plenary sessions are summarised. Details of some of the provision and programmes that featured in the workshops are provided as case studies.
