Royal Blind

Scottish Braille Press

The Scottish Braille Press has two principal purposes:
• To enable written materials to be accessible to blind people, enabling their education, knowledge, empowerment and inclusion
• To provide employment for people with a visual impairment

Royal Blind Scottish Braille Press is a registered charity (no. SCO17167), and a leading provider of high quality alternative formats offering a transcription service to create Braille, Large Print and Audio for all types of businesses regardless of size. We also provide supported employment opportunities for a number of disabled people, in particular the visually impaired.

We are renowned for our professionalism and for the quality of our output and the level of service we provide. We have a skilled and knowledgeable work force with considerable experience of both the alternative format sector and the commercial print sector. As many of our employees are themselves visually impaired we have immediate access to end-users and can provide feedback to our clients on their products and services

We have a wide customer base, which includes many blue chip clients and we work closely with each one to offer individual advice and guidance. We welcome the opportunity to discuss your requirements. We are happy to offer advice and to talk through the range of options available to you.
