Newport City Council

Access Supported Employment
Access Supported Employment was established in 1997 and is a division of Newport City Council, which specialises in supporting people, who have a disability gain access to training, education and employment. Support is offered by a team of qualified individuals, who specialise in a range of different employment support methods, tailored to suit the individual.

As a service to the individual we are able to offer help and support with job searching, creating a CV, completing application forms, giving advice on training techniques and styles, travel training and on site, 'hands-on' training if required. Long-term support and input with review and monitoring is available.

We can also offer a wide range of additional support such as free information on recruitment, retention or redevelopment including advice, support or recommendations, help and offer advice on the Disability Discrimination Act 1994, assist with personal development plans and provide the opportunity to improve Equal Opportunities in the Workplace.
