Young People's Learning Provision

Lincolnshire County Council is committed to ensuring that the most vulnerable people are offered a chance to access, retain, and return on a path for a more successful life through sustained employment, education and training.

Lincolnshire County Council provides a supported employment service to actively encourage and support disabled people in to sustained employment.

Supported employment is a personalised approach to working with disabled people who want to have a job.

Specialist team providing support to children/ young adults between ages of 14-25 with learning disabilities with all aspects surrounding employment.

We provide support to individuals who are seeking:

  • Paid Employment
  • Voluntary Employment
  • Work Experience Placements
  • Self– Employment
  • Apprenticeships

The team are able to provide the highest standard of support– meeting the needs of all our job seekers. We do this by providing:

  • Work Preparation Training
  • Confidence Building
  • Job Coaching
  • 1:1 Job Searching
  • Travel Training

Referrals to our service can be made from practitioners, schools/ colleges or through a self referral. Welfare to Work will then contact you to arrange an initial assessment. This will enable us to find out more about you and whether our service can provide you with the right type of support. An initial assessment will also allow you to find out more about what our service provides.
