Supported Employment is a Council service with the aim is to increase work opportunities for people with a disability

After an assessment, advice can be given on the best way forward, whether that be through education, training or voluntary work to supported permitted work, part or full-time work.

They also offer advice on your benefits to ensure that you do not lose out.

Supported Employment can help to build up your confidence before you start work, and job trainers can provide support in your work place for an initial period, until you feel confident enough to work alone.

At any time you or your employer can contact us for ongoing support.

They can also help you if you are in full time employment and, because of deterioration in your health, find you can no longer keep your job.

We run the work programme which will help people into full time employment also voluntary work as a taster.
