East Sussex County Council

ChoicES is an East Sussex County Council Supported Employment Service within Directly Provided Learning Disability Services of Adult Social Care.

It is a county wide service for adults with a learning disability who are seeking support along the pathway to work.

The service supports both job seekers and employers. This includes such things as;

* Carrying out detailed profiling to match candidates to jobs
* Providing and supporting pre-employment skills training
* Arranging full or part time work placements
* Providing on-going support & training to ensure employees can perform their duties to the highest standards, using TSI principles
* A dedicated employment advisor to undertake a comprehensive Health & Safety & risk assessments, plus providing disability awareness information and training.

To access this service, clients must be 18 or over, have an Adult Social Care Assessment and a diagnosis of a learning disability.

The ChoicES pathway to work is a person- centre process and we work along side our other services to facilitate maximum independence within the community.
