Moorland Plastics, Barnsley

Formed in 1966 by Barnsley council to provide worth while employment for Disabled persons from the Barnsley area. Moorland Plastics has developed into a well established supplier of Injection moulded plastic products to a wide variety of manufacturing companies and suppliers.
Services available include;- Injection moulding 35t to 250tonne machines, Thermoforming, Skin packaging, shrink packing, assembly, sewing strap kits, ultra sonic welding, picture frames, printed cotton bags and t-shirts, all products can be taken from design stage through to finished product including the design and production of the packaging.
Moorland plastics is also an approved training provider, delivering NVQ's in Polymer Processing and Warehousing to level 3, delivering the Product Design and Manufacturing Diploma to 14-16 year olds. Work experience is also available to pupils from Barnsley area schools.
The Work Choice programme is being delivered across the borough from the Community Learning and Information Services centres many of which provide Sure Start and Library services as well as the Information, Advice and Guildance to employment.
